Change some everyday habits in the name of beautiful skin

We always talk about the symptoms of our skin problems like acne, breakouts and many other conditions, but we rarely talk about what causes them. Some things we do every day, and we are not aware of them, can lead to various skin problems.

Here is a list of three everyday habits that we are not aware off that can harm our skin.   

Touching The Face 

Many of us have a habit of touching our face or resting our head on our hands. By putting our hands on the skin, unconsciously we cause the appearance of breakouts and other skin inflammations. So, next time anybody tries to touch the chin or cheek, think about the bacteria, viruses, and allergens that can be spread from the fingers to the face.


The Cellphone 

The phone is full of germs that can transfer to our face. Bacteria and pressure can cause inflammation that can exacerbate acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and more. That’s why it is very important to clean handhelds regularly with an antibacterial wipe and the use of a headset will minimize the phone-on-skin contact but, wiping down the headset is important as well.


While that fluffy pillow may seem clean and safe, think twice. Pillowcases are full of buildup of hair product residue, dirt, makeup residue, dead skin cells, and oil that can be transferred to the skin. Letting this kind of film develop could lead to breakouts or exacerbate other skin conditions. And washing the face before bed is not enough. Face-planting into unclean sheets and pillowcases can undo all the good of skin cleansing. It is recommended washing the pillowcases once in two weeks.
